Spear & Jackson / Ashberry Merton

Spear & Jackson acquired the Ashberry tableware company in the 1980s. The Merton range of cutlery, one of the most enduring designs continued to be produced, under the Ashberry name. The handles to all items have a delicate brushed finish, front and back. The blades of the knives are mirror polished. the bowls of the spoons and forks are also mirror polished front and back.

Most Ashberry and Spear and Jackson items are identical. There are two distinct types of knives, with both backstamps. There is a variation of about 1/8 inch in length and also the width of the handles. Please contact us, if in doubt.
