Oneida bought the Old Hall Company in 1984. They continued the manufacture of the orignal Alveston range for a very short period of time, before deciding that it was too expensive to produce. This first version of Alveston is absolutely identical to the former Old Hall products, apart from the maker's stamp. Items are usually marked ONEIDA UNITED KINGDOM or ONEIDA U.K. The later versions were: ONEIDA ALVESTON 18/8 and finally ONEIDA ALVESTON 18/10. Please get in touch if you need help identifying your version.
