Rondelay is still a very popular range of stainless steel cutlery. There are two versions - Spear & Jackson and Ashberry. Spear & Jackson bought out Ashberry and continued to produce the Rondelay patern. The main difference is that the Ashberry version has a mirror finish to the reverse of the spoons and forks. The knives are identical, except for the maker's stamp on the blades. The original Spear & Jackson spoons and forks had a brushed (satin) finish to the reverse. If you have used your cutlery for a while, it might not be easy to spot the difference between the two versions. The gloss finish soon dulls down, after a little use.
