Oneida bought the 'Old Hall' trademark c.1980 and continued to manufacture some of its more successful ranges, including 'Campden'. The first productions under the Oneida trademark, were almost identical to Old Hall and are identifable by the incised stamp ONEIDA UNITED KINGDOM. Some items were still marked OLD HALL during this period of transition and they can be found with the mark OLD HALL STAINLESS UNITED KINGDOM.
Later items were stamped ONEIDA 18/8.
Unfortunately, cheap far eastern imports were proving strong competition during the early 1980s and it seemed not enough people were willing to pay extra for the very high quality Old Hall ranges. Sadly, Oneida ceased production of all the former Old Hall designs in 1985.
