Amboss (which translates as 'anvil', an Austrian cutlery company, manufactured high-end products which were sold in more than sixty countries worldwide. In the 1950s, the company employed many innovative, young designers, who designed bold new cutlery patterns. The company also excelled in the design of their packaging, winning many design prizes in the 1950s and 1960s.
